Statement from the Responsible Business Forum on the War in Ukraine

As the Responsible Business Forum Association, the largest NGO in Poland which addresses the concept of corporate social responsibility in a comprehensive manner and coordinates the Diversity Charter in the country, we would like to express our solidarity with and support for the people of Ukraine.

Many of you, who reside in Poland, are our friends, colleagues and neighbors – people who we meet every day. We often work together, which enriches us as human beings. Your work and experience benefits many companies and the entire Polish economy.

The Preamble to the United Nations Charter opens with the statement that all UN Member States have determined to save succeeding generations from the scourge of war. Promoting peace and inclusive societies is the essence of the 16th UN Sustainable Development Goal. As it turns out, in the past it was not addressed frequently enough. It has now become the key one.

In these extremely difficult times, we would like to support our friends from Ukraine and everyone who has been affected by the war. We wish to express our support for the right of the Ukrainian people to sovereignty and freedom. At the same time, we wish to assure you that our support also means that we will be exploring possible avenues for concrete assistance, which Ukrainians so urgently need today. You can count on us.

Сьогодні ми хочемо виразити нашу щиру солідарність з усіма українцями та українками, які опинилися в ситуації безпрецедентної війни. Бракує нам слів, щоб висловити весь той біль і смуток. Пам’ятайте, що Ми з Вами!
