“Responsible business in Poland 2010. Good practices” Report

1 kwietnia 2011

On March 31st, 2011, Responsible Business Forum has launched the ninth edition of its annual Report “Responsible Business in Poland. Good practices”. Main trends observed in the Report are increasing interest in CSR among small and medium enterprises and rising use of social media in sustainable corporate practices.

117 good practices were sent by 108 companies and divided into five CSR areas: community, marketplace, environment, workplace, management and reporting. Moreover, four collective descriptions including 48 practices were created: corporate volunteering, help for people affected by flood that happened in Poland in 2010, eco office, and preventive health care for employees. The Report includes also expert articles, Internet users’ opinions about CSR in 2010, summary of the most important research, events, and press review.

Until recently, in Poland there was a strong belief that CSR practices are exclusive for big multinational corporations in big cities. The 2010 Report illustrates that this is changing.

Another trend is more common use of social media in CSR activities and more practices directed at employees: education on CSR, contests for best initiatives.
