The majority of modern slavery today happens in the private economy, which is why engaging with the business community – alongside employers’ and workers’ organisations, and civil society organisations – to eradicate modern slavery is essential.

In this webinar, AVPN members and corporate foundations will share their efforts around combating modern slavery. The Macquarie Group Foundation embarked on a long-term, regional project in Asia around modern slavery, specifically on issues affecting migrant domestic workers; The C&A Foundation is making fashion a force of good by creating more transparency and traceability in the fashion supply chains and eradicating forced and child labour.

The webinar will:

  • Share C&A Foundation’s work around eradicating forced labour while strengthening communities.
  • Highlight Macquarie Group Foundation’s projects working to raise awareness on modern slavery and support long-term change.
  • Discuss specific gaps and challenges that other corporates and/or foundations can support in an effort to combat this serious topic.
