Responsible businesses welcome to present their good practices at the CSR Marketplace in Poland

Companies and organizations which carry out corporate social responsibility and sustainable development initiatives, or offer services in these areas, are invited to present their activities at the 7th CSR Marketplace. The event will take place in Warsaw on 12 April 2018. The CSR Marketplace is organized by the Responsible Business Forum in Poland.

Best Reports Announced

The winners of this year’s edition of the CSR Reports Contest were announced on 10 October. Based on the jury’s decision, the top organisations in terms of non-financial reporting for 2016 in Poland are: CEMEX Polska, PKN ORLEN, Bank Zachodni WBK, Budimex, Lafarge, and the Doctor Piotr Janaszek PODAJ DALEJ Foundation. The CSR Reports contest is hosted by the Responsible Business Forum and the consulting firm Deloitte.

A breakthrough year for socially responsible companies in Poland: –the Report “Responsible Business in Poland 2016. Good Practices” has been released

There has been a one-quarter increase in the number of companies undertaking CSR activities in Poland, which were presented in this year’s edition of the Report “Responsible Business in Poland. Good Practices”. The Reports have been released by the Responsible Business Forum for 15 years.

10 years of CSR reporting in Poland

For the last 10 years, the Responsible Business Forum has partnered with Deloitte in the organization of the CSR Reports Competition, devised to popularise non-financial reporting and to showcase relevant good corporate practices. Every year, the jury selects companies which engage in a dialogue with stakeholders and clearly, transparently and credibly present their accomplishments in the reports they publish.

Companies want to grow responsibly

The 13th edition of the report entitled ‘Responsible Business in Poland. Best Practices’ has just been published. As in previous years, also this time the number of notified practices is higher than the last year’s figure. The Report brings nearly 700 examples of CSR practices, with nearly one third being long-term activities.

In the eighth edition of „Social Reports” contest– The awards for the best prepared report in the field of corporate social responsibility ” – Orange Polska S.A., Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka S.A., Energa SA and Tauron Polska Energia SA gained the prize. The results were announced on December 9 during “Social Reports 2014” conference.

According to the recent report conducted by KPMG in Poland and Responsible Business Forum „Corporate social responsibility: facts versus opinions” there is a growing awareness of a corporate social responsibility (CSR) in large and medium-sized companies. However, we are only halfway there. Such good actions are performed by every other company in Poland, whereas they are mainly taken by large companies and those with foreign capital.

A Guide to Diversity Management Just Appeared – Press Release

Diversity Unites Us, published by the Responsible Business Forum, discusses the subject of diversity management and presents it on the examples of companies in Poland. It is the first Polish guide to the Diversity Charter. It was officially presented during the High Level Event „Diversity management for inclusive growth” which took place in October 2013 in Warsaw. The English version of the guide has just been published.

Polish companies prefer working with social partners – Press Release

Dozens of Polish companies, from Small and Large Enterprises sector, applied with their projects carried out within the partnerships between non-governmental organizations, self-governments and institutions, for European CSR Award. The aim of the initiative is to award partnerships between a company and at least one non-business stakeholder. In Poland, 43 % of companies presented their cooperation with a social partner. Polish edition of the contest is coordinated by the Responsible Business Forum.
