CSR Europe once again meets in Poland

The next meeting of the leading European Business Network for Corporate Social Responsibility, CSR Europe, will be held in Warsaw. The event is co-organized by the Responsible Business Forum in Poland and partnered by VIVE Textile Recycling.

Meetings of CSR Europe’s National Partner Organizations are held bi-annually. The next one is scheduled to take place in Poland and will be organized by the Responsible Business Forum, a member of CSR Europe. The event will be a closed one. Representatives of European CSR organizations and partners of the Responsible Business Forum were invited to attend the meeting.

 Development of social responsibility requires activities taken not only at the national level. International initiatives and co-operation are equally important. Being CSR Europe’s National Partner Organization, the Responsible Business Forum in Poland has been actively supporting them. By co-organizing the meeting of CSR Europe’s National Partner Organizations we express our responsibility for and commitment to those processes. The coming event will be an opportunity to build relations and develop sustainable development solutions as part of the organizations operating in Europe – says Marzena Strzelczak, General Director of the Responsible Business Forum.

On 18-19 October 2018 in Warsaw representatives of CSR Europe’s National Partner Organizations will focus on topics that are of crucial importance to the organization’s operations, including the development of the 2030 strategy. The above is related to the Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the UN that set global development directions. In that context, participants will discuss the quality of education and decent work, diversity management, as well as the issue of sustainable cities and communities. Important topics also include circular economy whose impact on business operations has been growing steadily. A new approach to managing raw materials, waste collection or ecological designing is expected. In Poland there are already companies whose business model is based on the circular economy, including VIVE Textile Recycling, partner of the CSR Europe’s meeting.

The meetings of CSR Europe’s National Partner Organizations are held bi-annually in different European countries. The Responsible Business Forum in Poland has been the member of CSR Europe since 2002. In 2011 it organized such event and in 2018 it has been once again invited to organize it.

This year as part of the event a gala to announce the results of the Social Reports Competition has been planned with a ceremony during which awards will be presented for the best sustainable development and CSR reports. It is the 12th edition of the competition organized by the Responsible Business Forum and Deloitte. Everyone interested in the results will be able to follow the gala in the Responsible Business Forum’s social media.
