Business Educational Activity during the 6th CSR Marketplace

5 września 2016

CSR Marketplace, which is the largest corporate social responsibility and sustainable development event in Poland, will be held on 17 November 2016 in the Gallery of the “PGE Narodowy” Stadium in Warsaw. This year’s event will be dedicated to business educational activity, and will be organised – as in the last 12-year period – by the Responsible Business Forum.

This year, the exhibitors and visitors will meet on 17 November 2016 in the Gallery of the “PGE Narodowy” Stadium in Warsaw event website: https://odpowiedzialnybiznes.pl/targicsr/), which will become a space for exploring companies’ and organisations’ good practices in the area of corporate social responsibility. The event will also provide the participants with an opportunity for expanding their knowledge about CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) and will be a networking forum for CSR practitioners and experts. Furthermore, it will offer a chance for cooperation and dialogue between responsible business and its environment, and for becoming familiar with an offer of CSR services.

According to Mirella Panek-Owsiańska, President of the Responsible Business Forum, which organises the 6th CSR Marketplace: “Once in two years, we invite businesses and their stakeholders to meet at an exceptional event. The Marketplace, which goes far beyond the environment of CSR experts, does not focus on defining, but instead on presenting and discussing in a practical way what business can do for me, my neighbour, my colleague. It shows the kind of business that becomes a partner in solving social and environmental problems.”

The Exhibitions

The CSR Marketplace is free of charge for participants and open (no registration required) to various audiences: representatives of companies interested in developing and implementing CSR solutions, representatives of the public administration, journalists, consumers, students, representatives of NGOs, persons interested in the topic of education undertaken by businesses and anyone who is dedicated to social responsibility and sustainable development.

The visitors will have an opportunity to become familiar with the activity of approx. 60 exhibitors, most of which are companies implementing CSR and following its principles on a day-to-day basis, talk to CSR practitioners, and even get involved in the individual projects delivered and presented by the companies.

The Conference

The organisers envisage various forms of presenting corporate social responsibility issues: a conference, interviews/panels, launch of a publication dedicated to CSR strategies, and, naturally, fair stands. The CSR Marketplace will be also broadcast online and presented in the social media under the hashtag #TargiCSR.

The conference will be entitled as follows: “Business Educational Activity. A Mandatory Subject.” During the Marketplace, the organisers will announce for the first time a list of initiatives aimed at raising the awareness of and educating stakeholders in such areas as health, safety, ecology, labour market, consumption, cooperation with suppliers, lifestyle, culture, technology, science and development. The list is a joint project of the Responsible Business Forum and Rzeczpospolita daily.

The main guests of the CSR Marketplace will be representatives of the public administration and CSR experts, including board members of the companies that partner the CSR Marketplace. The persons making their appearance will be well-known figures committed to social, environmental and educational activities.

The CSR Marketplace is the largest corporate social responsibility event in Poland. It has been organised by the Responsible Business Forum since 2005 every two years. The purpose of the event is to present the activities and practices of socially responsible businesses and the services offered in this area by other entities.
